Practical Tests

Our local Practical Test Centre is on Penrod Way in Heysham, by the Port.

Test last approximately 40 minutes, the Examiner will give you instructions on where to drive. 

The Examiner is purely an observer watching how you drive and complete any maneouvres requested by them. 

They will be looking for you to demonstrate certain skills:-

• drive safely with good consideration for other road users.
• make appropriate progress to keep flow with the traffic.
• carry out maneouvres with good observation, control and reasonable accuracy.

If you have learned to Drive!, anything the Examiner requests of you should not be a problem.

This includes any alterations to the test!

There are no quotas of passes each week, if you produce a competent drive you will pass your test.
